Arctic Ice

The ice in the Arctic is rapidly disappearing, and the region may have its first completely ice-free summer by 2040. Polar bears and other indigenous cultures are already suffering from sea-ice loss.

Glaciers

Glaciers and mountain snows are rapidly melting. Right now, Montana's Glacer National Park has only 27 glaciers. It had 150 in 1910.

Coral Reefs

Coral reefs are highly sensitive to small changes in water temperature. Up to 70% of some reefs died due to bleaching (or stress) in 1998 because of temperature changes.

World Rocks For Global Warming

If you weren't previously aware of the world's interest in global warming, you should be now. Live Earth rocked the world on July 7, 2007 (07/07/07) with live performances around the globe, raising awareness of global warming and climate change.

The world's top entertainers were organized into the greatest musical event since Live Aid, and the message is clear: it's time to heal the planet.

You have to appreciate the work and effort that was put into this monumental event, and it's complete and total support for global warming. And the concerts themselves were done in a manner that was globally friendly, with each individual concert being staged using environmental "green" methods, with carbon footprints being considered for everything from the eco-friendly fuels used to power the concerts, to the offsetting of travel and accommodation.

You cannot help but be impressed by the music, and that so many famous musical performers endorsed the need to stop global warming. If names like Madonna, Genesis, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Police, Bon Jovi, or Metallica don't get your attention, then perhaps you're living on a different planet.

It's time we realized that global warming is more than just a political tool for politicians, but that the world is indeed in serious trouble, and that if we don't act now, the next Live Earth concert will be underwater. Global warming is real, and this is the only planet we've got.
