It’s been said that Starbucks could be significantly impacted by global warming and climate change, as the radical changed to the environment could impact the coffee franchise’s ability to secure enough quantity of Arabica beans, which are an essential commodity in the production of Starbucks coffees.
Starbucks suggests that climate change is to blame for the increased cost of coffee beans, the risk of lower production due to global warming, and the possible necessity to effect change in their market vision, and the possibility of migrating their coffee products to more juice-related consumables.
I can’t think of a bigger wake-up call for coffee drinkers who are also sensitive to climate change!
